Couldn't load the data for this visual for PowerBI Service using direct query PowerBI database

Dear All,

In my report, I imported the data by 2 ways:
Import and Direct Query (PowerBI Dataset)
For import, visuals work fine.
For direct query, visuals work well in powerBI Desktop, but cannot be shown after publishing to Service

Could you please help on this?

  • Hi. There might be a few reasons for this. One can be because you are adding columns/measures that can't be together on the same visual due to your data model. Another can be if you have publish the report and you haven't configure the credentials or gateway for the direct query. Then the queries can't reach the source to render.

I hope one of those helps,

Thank you. After further checking, it seems that is because of the connection issue.
I use direct query to connect to PowerBI Dataset in orginational workspace which I have access and can see the report but not the dataset.

In powerBI Service, it shows there is no available gateway.

I checked settings--> manage gateway --> it shows below

      Thank you for all help
