I have a lakehouse in Microsoft Fabric and I am trying to create a new semantic model from my SQL endpoint from Reporting tab. Earlier I was able to but suddenly it started throwing me the below error and I am blocking to create a custom semantic model and use it further
How would you go about to check steps 1 and 2 (except check the Query activity in the SQL Endpoint)?
Hi @Sreeja_G
Your error message indicates that a process or operation is occupying the relevant resource, preventing you from performing the desired update or refresh action. This may be caused by concurrent access or some long-running tasks. Here are some suggestions for resolving this issue:
Check for Concurrent Processes: Confirm if there are other users or processes accessing or modifying the same lakehouse schema. If so, wait for these operations to complete before trying to refresh.
Check Long-Running Tasks: Some long-running tasks (like data import or large queries) may cause resources to be locked. Monitor these tasks to ensure they have completed.
Retry the Operation: Sometimes, simply waiting for a while and then retrying the refresh operation can solve the problem.
Review Logs and Error Details: The system often records relevant error logs. Reviewing these logs might provide more information about why the lock could not be acquired.
