Could not load the data for this visual - Unable to convert an M query in table [xxx] into a native

I am trying to connect with Oracle using direct query. When I create the visuals on desktop everything works fine. When I publish the report to the service it gives me a blank visual like below:

rschaudhr_0-1613764744781.png

The error associated with the visual is:

rschaudhr_1-1613764789783.png

Now this error is only showing when I am using direct query and in the service. When I import the query and publish it to the service, then it is working fine. Did anybody run into this issue before?

Thank you,

Rehan

Hi @rschaudhr ,

As the official document said, many data modeling and data transformations are available when using DirectQuery, though with some limitations.

If the Query Editor query is overly complex, an error occurs. To remedy the error, either delete the problematic step in Query Editor, or import the data instead of using DirectQuery.

show the M query.  Capture it in Power Query with the Advanced Editor.
