I recently needed to disable Local Auth on cosmos DB collection, preventing the ability to auth using key based tokens.
In doing, several users power BI reports are now unable to refresh a data set, that was setup using a key embedded connection string, that queries the collection. Is use of OAuth or, better still MSI\ Azure AppId , supported for power BI data sets?
I'm guessing it should be as it exists for other azure based data sets. I just thought I'd post here for confirmation, as I await specific details from the user with links to their power BI data set.
Thx

Hi,@davidBlount
Based on the information I've gathered so far, the Power BI Connector currently only supports Azure Cosmos DB SQL API and Gremlin API accounts in powerbi without Feed Key authentication. It does not currently connect to the Power BI connector.

Therefore, you can also try to connect Azure Cosmos DB to Power BI using Azure Synapse Link for Azure Cosmos DB.
