Hello, I've created a new workspace as US East2 and trying to import few on-prem tables to Lakehouse and I was getting below error message.
Potential_Credit_VendorSummary_tbl_WriteToDataDestination: Mashup Exception Data Source Error Couldn't refresh the entity because of an issue with the mashup document MashupException.
Error: Error in comitting version., Underlying error: Copy or Rename involving cross regional shortcuts is not supported.. BadRequest Details: Reason = DataSource.Error;Message = Copy or Rename involving cross regional shortcuts is not supported.. BadRequest;Detail = [DataSourceKind = "Lakehouse", DataSourcePath = "Lakehouse"];Message.Format = Copy or Rename involving cross regional shortcuts is not supported..
Is this something Gateway configuration issue or something else to upload into East2 region. I think, other regions is working fine and able to import from On-prem to East region.
Hi @Dhanapal ,
The error message "Copying or renaming involving cross-region shortcuts is not supported" means that what you are trying to do is not supported due to the nature of cross-region shortcuts. This is a known limitation and has nothing to do with gateway configuration. This is mainly to maintain data integrity. For more information about shortcuts, refer to the documentation: OneLake shortcuts - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn.
If your Current Period does not refer to this, please clarify in a follow-up reply.
Best Regards,
Clara Gong
