Copy Visuals Between Reports in Power BI Cloud

How can I copy a visual from a Fabric web-based Power BI Report into another report?  (I'm not using the Desktop version)

    Hi SGuidos ,

    Thank you for reaching out.

At present, the Power BI Service does not support copying a visual from one web-based Power BI report to another. While it is possible to copy and paste visuals within the same report, there is no built-in functionality for transferring visuals between different reports.

According to the official documentation, this feature is not available in the Power BI Service.

For more details, please refer to the official documentation:

    FYI:

    Alternative Solution:

    1. Access the source report in Power BI Service and examine the fields, filters, and formatting settings used in the visual.
    2. Open the destination report and manually replicate the visual using identical settings.
    3. Ensure that both reports utilize the same dataset or a dataset with a similar structure to ensure consistency.

If my response solved your query, please mark it as the Accepted solution to help others find it easily.

And if my answer was helpful, I'd really appreciate a 'Kudos'.

Actuall, I found an easier way to copy visuals between web-based Power BI reports:

    • Download and install Power BI Desktop
    • Open both the Source and Destination reports from the cloud into the Desktop app
    • "Copy and Paste" the visual between reports in the Desktop app
      • Note:  "Missing" data elements in the Destination report were handled elegantly with the "Fix This" button
    • "Publish" the Destination report back to the cloud and your Workspace (using the "Replace" option)

This worked very well, and was way easier than "manually replicating the visual" ðŸ™‚
