Since yesterday, you’ve been experiencing an issue with the Copilot functionality in your Power BI reports, specifically related to the Smart Narrative visual. Despite previously working without any problems, the feature now displays an error message stating, “Something went wrong and we couldn't load the narrative. Try again later.” This issue occurs both in Power BI Desktop and in the published report on the Power BI Service. You’ve already attempted several troubleshooting steps, such as testing the report in a different Premium workspace, using different browsers, and republishing the report, but the problem still persists. Additionally, when attempting to create a new Smart Narrative visual, the "Copilot" button appears grayed out, and the Copilot pane does not function as expected. Given that these symptoms are consistent across environments and are not resolved by typical workarounds, it suggests a potential service-side disruption or a temporary issue with the Copilot or Smart Narrative feature in Power BI. To confirm whether this is a broader issue, it would be advisable to check the Microsoft Power BI support page or the Microsoft 365 Service Health Dashboard for any official announcements regarding outages or ongoing maintenance affecting Copilot capabilities.
