I have saved a copy of one of my reports on the PowerBI service and deleted a number of tabs before publishing as a dashboard. When I change the original dataset on the desktop it duly amends the original report within the service but not the copied version.
What do I have to do to ensure that both reports update?

Hi @jondayersmith,
This function will copy the original dataset and save it as 'xx.copy', these copied files are based on above dataset, they not means these files will reference the original dataset.
So, it is impossible to let update apply on both of files, you need to recreate these reports with the updated datasource.
