Controlling size of bubble on map visualization

I have a map visualization that shows the Port of Entry and I have the Value of the products chosen to control the size of the bubble.  This is working fine on the Desktop Report.  However, when I publish to Power BI and review the report, all of the Bubbles are the same size.  What am I doing wrong?  The 1st snapshot below is from Desktop, the 2nd is after publishing to Power BI.  (I hope you can see the screenshots)

  • Hi there

Have you tried in the Power BI Service to remove the size and then put it back in and see if that works?

Or also change the visual to something else and change it back in the Power BI Service?

Yes, I've tried both suggestions several times.  After looking closer, I see that the part of the problem is that the Desktop App recognizes most of the names of the Ports of Entry, but the Power BI Service is not recognizing the same ones.  I have them categorized as "Place".

Hi there if possible I would then rather put in the actual addresses or locations which will map correctly.

The underlying technology uses Bing Maps API, so if you want to test if it works, go go Bing Maps and type it into the Search Bar and see if it finds your location.

I generally suggest to people to use either an address or Lat and Long to ensure that it will work and put the data in the correct location on the map.
