Contributors can't update the app

Hello,

Our workspace contributors suddenly lost the possibility to update the app. Everything was okay, and now they can see the below info. 

Allow contributors to update the app for this workspace is checked.

Has anything changed recently?

We just encountered the same issue, the workspace settings didn't change and is correct as per the docs:

Contributor with an extended additional right "Allow contributors to update the app for this workspace".

Just to keep an update of trouble I have described above for others who can face the same, yesterday we found out, this is a known MS issue, noticed on that web page: Microsoft Fabric Known Issues (click the 'Power BI' tab):

Title: Contributor can't update organizational app. Description: Workspace admins can grant users with the Contributor role the ability to update the organizational app for the workspace. A recent regression now prevents the contributor from performing updates to the organizational app, even when explicitly permitted by the administrator.

Hi  @asdAasdfasdf 

Contributors can update the app that's associated with the workspace, if the workspace Admin delegates this permission to them. So please check whether admin has turned off the relevant permissions.
