Hi,
We have an Azure tenancy and an M365 tenancy (for Power BI).
How are Power BI datasets meant to connect to data sources (files, sql databases) in our Azure tenancy?
Is there a way to merge/connect these two tenancies so that they work as if they are on the same network? (ie Datasets on Power BI datasets can read from sql database on Azure?)
Hi @Surm
Please refer to Power BI with multiple Azure tenants - OMS System ... - Microsoft Power BI Community

Hi @v-xiaotang ,
Thank you, but unfortunately, your link is not relevant to the question asked.
We have an Azure tenancy and a M 365 tenancy; they both appear to use the same AAD. We use the same logins (eg username@domain )to login to both Azure portal and Power BI portal. On Azure; AAD = tenancy, therefore, even if have to seeming tenancies, one for Azure and one for Power BI service, they have to be one and the same tenancy.
My question is; whether these two "tenancies" are merged behind the scene (since they share the same AAD) and whether authentication between these two tenancies is simplified?
