Hi, I have problem with connection to AzureInsight using Web API key authorization.
I create key in AI:
When I try send request using rest client, this working fine, using get and post:
But when try do this in PowerBI:
When I try connect using my credential (e-mail + password) all woroking fine.
I know I can do some workaround, and first save this in SQL, then get to reports, but I'd like know why I can't authenticate.
I using PowerBI desktop app.
In fact, it was a bit related to the permissions, because it turned out that I can't connect to SQL either, but I got the permissions, and then I can't connect to AzureInsight, so far I get the data in a different way.
Hi @Dawid_PH ,
This maybe a permission/authentication error. When you ever connect to your data source in an unauthorized account, the corresponding credential would be created. You may need to change credential, go to “File –> Options and Settings –> Data Source Settings”, under “Global permissions”, select old SQL Server data source connections and click on Edit permission in Power BI Desktop, then connect to it and check if it is successful.
