Hello,
I created a dataflow (it's correctly auto updated everyday) in PowerBi (web app). I used the dataflow in Power BI Desktop. Created my reports and published. In Power BI (Web App), by publishing, it automatically created a dataset and a report. Finally I shared the report to my team.
However, to update the report (refresh data) shared to my team, i need to manually open my Power Bi Desktop, refresh (update data, base on dataflow - which is automatically refreshed), save and manually republish. After that, my team needs to refresh report and it works.
This is for one report, I have 5 teams with specific reports to share, data is updated everyday.
Question 1: Is the logic (create dataflow, create pbix in PowerBi Desktop, sync dataflow, publish, etc.) I used correct ?
Question 2: Is it possible to create a dataset based on a dataflow ?
Thanks,
deanmit

Hi @deanmit ,
Do you mean you have created a report based on power bi dataflow? If this is a case, I'd like to suggest you double-check on correspond Datasource credentials at power bi service 'setting ->datasets'.(current dataflow datasoure only require to update credentials to enable refresh feature)

Hi @v-shex-msft
Yes, indeed. I was getting error when trying to sync. I thought it was because dataset was trying to connect to my Powerbi desktop.
Anyway, i added credentials in dataset menu and now it works...
Thanks, problem solved !
Once you've published your report, you can set a scheduled refresh on the dataset--or manually refresh the dataset in Power BI Service. No need to refresh locally and republish.
