Connecting S3 directly to Power BI

We have our data in S3 . It seems that we need to use S3 + athena + Athena connector to power bi . Is there are any other way to connect S3 directly to Power bI . Also what is about  loading files from s3 to Sharepoint and connecting to Sharepoint. Is there any limitation on connecting to Sharepoint to achieve this ?
