Connecting PowerBi.com published report to SQL Server on Azure VM

We recently migrated our infrastructure from on-prem to cloud and our PowerBi.com published reports stopped working. Earlier we had an on-prem gateway that allowed the reports to communicate with the on-prem DB and get data.

I am not sure what is needed for the reports to connect to the SQL Server on Azure VM. We are not using Azure SQL PaaS which I believe doesn't require a gateway.

Please direct me to any information on how to configure connection between reports on PowerBi.com to a SQL Server on Azure VM

Thanks

Hi @shikaris

You would need to make sure that your gateway has new data sources which connect to the SQL Server on Azure VM. And then in your datasets change it to use the new data sources in your gateway?
