Hi,
Any suggestions on how I can join two measures from different reports/datasets together?
I have two PBIX models, and I'm producing a summary dashboard, which views the high level visuals for both models.
However they each return a few high level figure that needs to be added together/calculated with.
Each model will need to be refreshed at different times, and also are fairly complex so I'm trying to avoid combining them into one model.
I know that that two Power BI Service Datasets can't be connected in Power BI Desktop and measures can't be built in the service so I think I'm a bit stuck.
Any suggestions of how to connect the two measures.
Thanks in advance.
Hi @lstonehouse,
By my tests, I'm afraid that there is no better way for us to join two measures from different reports/datasets together in Power BI currently.
I'm afraid that you need to combine the data source in Query Editor and join the two measures in Power BI Dekstop.
In addition, you could submit your idea in Power BI ideas Forum.
Best Regards,
Cherry
Thanks for testing it @v-piga-msft! I thought this might be the case.
I voted on this idea https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/34750903-power-bi-datasets , but I'll leave this here to see if anyone has any ideas using the service API or some other way.
