Connect to local mssql database throught data gateway

Hi,  I'm trying to connect to mssql database on the same machine as the installed data gateway. I can easily connect to some excel docs on the same machine with the same account and same gateway.  ...

    Hi, 

    thanks for response. 

     

    When I tried full name in desktop pwbi then it works BUT only on desktop. I can't add this datasource to gateway. The error message was Login failed. 

     

    But I found solution. When I have used short PC name, Windows authentification and domain\username login, it works. I have no idea why it didn't work for basic authentification. But I'm now very happy it works 😄

Hi Anonymous 

 

What happens when you use the PC's full name which you can find under system settings?

 

Or what happens if you try and use the Internal IP Address of the PC?
