Connect to Sharepoint list from Power BI Gateway

Hi,

I am using the url of

http://something/something/allitems.aspx

I get the following errors.

"Cannot connect to the mashup data source. See error details for more information."

Underlying error code: -2147467259

Underlying error message:OData: The given URL neither points to an OData service or a feed: 'http://something/something/allitems.aspx//_api/web/lists'

DM_ErrorDetailNameCode_UnderlyingHResult:-2147467259

Microsoft.Data.Mashup.ValueError.Reason:DataFormat.Error

Any ideas?

Hi @mcguija,

In your scenario, how did you create data source through this URL http://something/something/allitems.aspx? Choosing Sharepoint List or Web? As I know, the URL you provided is an .aspx web page which is not a supported URL when querying data from on-premises SharePoint.

If you want to connect to a SharePoint list data source in Power BI Gateway, you should enter the site root URL only. If the list is under /something/, please enter the URL like: http://something/something.
