Connect Power Pivot to PBI Dataset

Yes. Instead of connecting to the Power BI dataset you need to connect to the SSAS data source in import mode.  You get the server details from the dataset's "server settings" section.

    I can't see the server settings. Having had a look around this seems to be a premium feature and I'm currently on Pro. Is there any other way to get the server connection string?

      sorry should have asked what license you are on.  You can try the connection string from the Excel query but i haven't gotten that to work yet (no need in my license/capacity situation)
