Configure data sources for Dashboard

After a dashboard (or report) is created and published how exactly a client will be using it knowing that his data location is different? Is there a configuration file or something?   Thanks

I think you misundestood. They use our software for their business. They need to see their data at a real time.

    When I create a report it uses my local data. After deploying it to Power BI serrvice what kind configuration is available to point reports/dashboards to client data?

      Hi Markzolotoy,

      There is no such configuration that can be made to point dashboard or report to use client data after you publish report to Power BI Service. You will need to create the report based on the client data , then publish it to Service and create dashboard.
