Composite Model Not Being Picked up by Our API for Refresh

I have a composite model that has some field parameters in it.  When I tried to refresh the model in the service I got the below error.

I googled the error and found the below article.

I changed the workspace settings to enable granular access control for all data connections as shown below.

I then receieved the below error when trying to refresh the model manually in the service.

I googled the highlighted error, found this post and made the below changes to the data source credentials.

After the second change, I was able to refresh the composite model in the service manually, but it is not being picked up by our api for automatic refresh.

Please help.
