Hi All,
I have a composite model that uses multiple Power BI datasets (published in the PBI service) with some basic RLS to scope the data down by user. When I test RLS in Power BI Desktop the report works great but when I publish the report to the Power BI service and test as a user all visuals in the report show the error below. My users also confirm seeing this error for all visuals in the report.
These are the things I have tried to do to correct the issue:
The issue still persists after completing each of these requirements. Does anyone have other ideas for things to try that would let my users view the report in the Power BI service based on a composite model?
Below is a snapshot of the report schema.
And the RLS I am implementing that works in Desktop
Thanks!
Hi @Cbischel
As per the details in the link below, the RLS can only be applied on the source dataset. On a chained dataset RLS will not work
