Column does not exist in row set

Hi

I am doing a cleanup by removing some redundant fields from SQL tables that are used as datasets in Power BI dashboards. When I refresh the dataset I get the "Column does not exist in row set" error. I know that to fix it I have to go back to Power BI desktop and refresh there and republish the dashboard to the service. But is there a way to do this without going back in to desktop. None of the fields are actually used in any visuals and they most probably should not have been there in the first place. I have too many dashboards to go into each and every one and fix. Has anyone found a way to resolve this?

Thanks

Trevor

Bozzybox Probably should have used a dataflow then you would only have one place to fix. The issue is in your query in that there is probably a default Changed Type step that is referring to those columns that you removed.

hi Bozzybox - Unfortunately there is no way to rectify this issue without removing the reference to the column from your Power BI desktop files; as mentioned by Greg_Deckler there must be a reference to the column in Query Editor as seen in the below screenshot.
