This usually isn’t a real 404 issue, but rather a permissions / access limitation with live data export.

For exporting to PowerPoint with live data, the user must have access not only to the report, but also to the underlying semantic model (dataset).

    A few things to check:

    - Make sure the user has access to the dataset (not just the report)

    - Prefer giving access via the workspace (Viewer/Member), not only via sharing

    - Ensure both users have valid Pro licenses

    - Check that the dataset is in the same workspace and accessible to the user

Also note that “Export to PPT with live data” has stricter requirements than a regular export, and may fail if the report is accessed indirectly.

If possible, try accessing the report directly from the workspace and then export again.

Move the report to a shared workspace instead of using "My Workspace":

    1. Create a new workspace (or use an existing shared one)
    2. Publish the report from Power BI Desktop to that shared workspace, or move it via Power BI Service → report → Move
    3. Share the report from the shared workspace with the client — assign the appropriate permission (Viewer for report-only access, or Member if they need broader access)
    4. Have the client reopen the report from the shared workspace URL and retry the PowerPoint export with live data
