Clicking "Open in Power BI" from CRM Dashboard does not load page

Overview:

Our organization uses both Power BI Pro and CRM Dynamics 365.  We have some Power BI elements/components in our CRM Dynamics Dashboards.  When we (myself or my end users) click on the "Open in Power BI" link, a new page is opened and fills in the URL bar for Power BI, but does not display the report.  Hitting F5 seems to resolve the issue, but most users don't know that.  In addition, this behaivor only happens on some dashboards.  It seems that if you already have a Power BI component in a CRM dashboard, and you edit it (change it to reference a different power bi app or report), then the "open in Power bi" link seems to just open blank pages.

Repro step:

1) go to CRM dashboard where a Power BI element or component is present.  Find the "Open in Power BI" link icon or button.

CRM Dashboard, click the "Open in Power BI" icon/link/buttonCRM Dashboard, click the "Open in Power BI" icon/link/button

2) Click the "Open in Power BI" link icon or button and observe the behaivor:
(Should see new window or tab open, give it time to load.)

After clicking the "Open in Power BI" link, page partially loads then presents blank power bi page. After clicking the "Open in Power BI" link, page partially loads then presents blank power bi page.

Expected: To see the Power BI report load

Actual:  Seeing blank page (see image above)

After hitting F5 (to refresh), Power BI fully loads page. After hitting F5 (to refresh), Power BI fully loads page.

Workaround: Hit F5 (to Refresh browser) and observe
Expected/Actual: Power BI Report loads (see image above)

The Power BI report should load when you click the "Open in Power BI"... the user shouldn't be forced to refresh the page or perform additional actions after they've clicked the link.  This happens in all browsers that I've tested, but only on certain CRM Dashboards.  The difference is that the affected dashboards were created about a year ago and we recently updated them to use a different model.  New CRM Dashboards created referencing the same model don't seem to have this problem.

Has anyone encountered this issue before and is there a way to fix it without having to rebuild all of our CRM dashboards from scratch?  The URL that it provides from the link is correct, it just doesn't seem to fully load when accessed via that click.

Sincerely,
Robert Eckman

@v-lid-msft

Thank you for checking in on this issue.  I was able to resolve the issue by creating new dashboards and adding the report componets to that.

I still don't know exactly why I was having the issues, and I thought my repro steps would help find a solution, but perhaps there's much more going on under the scenes than we are aware of.
