Yes, that’s correct. The transition to PBIR for GCC environments is planned for General Availability (GA) in January 2026. Until then, GCC tenants may not have the preview option to enable or disable PBIR. Once GA is reached, PBIR will become the default report format for new reports in GCC, while PBIX will remain supported for compatibility.
