Changes in report page order is not reflected in Power BI Service.

Hello friends,

I have a Power BI report which contains 6 pages.   i  changed the name and sort order of some pages in the PBIX file. and then published it to the power bi premium workspace. it's very strange that the sort order is not changed in the workspace.  what could be the reason and how to resolve this problem?

Hmm, that is strange! It is possible that you have edited the report online in the Service before Power BI treats the service version with user customisations, which take precedence over the Desktop version for layout metadata. 

The best thing here may be to keep the datasource/sematic model, but delete the report in your workspace then reupload the PBIX from desktop. If you don't want to delete first, you can rename do filename_V2 and upload that as a new version to assess if it has worked. 

Alternatively, you can move the page orders in Power BI service and save those changes there.

i don't want to delete the report ,reason is that the usage history of the report will be lost if i delete the report.  

i tried to edit the report in power bi service and move the page orders. it works very well.
