Can the data source for a report in Power BI Service be changed?
I attempted to publish reports from Power BI, such as for the DEV and PROD environments, with different file names that included 'dev' and 'prod'. However, after publishing, the data source was created with the same name as the report.
Is it possible to modify the DEV report to use the PROD data source?
Example:
Power BI pbix file: PROD - App 1.0
Power BI prod dataset: PROD - App 1.0
Power BI pbix file: Dvb - App 1.x (may vary)
Power BI dev dataset: Dev - App 1.0 <-- I would like to use the PROD - App 1.0 dataset.

I think this mya help: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/it-ch/blog/connecting-to-datasets-in-the-power-bi-service-from-desktop....
basically you have two file the dataset file and a pbix report file with a live dataset conection over the service dataset already published, this way you only need to update the dataset pbix and the report one will be already connected to it.
also if you want to change the source target to a diferent dataset with a different name you can do so in the power bi desktop file of the report file in the data source settings under the tranform data queries tab.
