Cell phone visualization in a web link

Hey

We were trying to adapt our dashboard to a cell phone layout, but it appears to work only in the power BI app. Is there any prediction if it is going to be possible to see a dashboard in a cell phone layout but in a web link?

Thanks, Felipe

Hi @IEG_CSC12,

Yes, it is possible to view a Power BI dashboard in a cell phone layout through a web link. Power BI supports responsive design, which means that dashboards and reports will automatically adjust to fit the screen size of the device being used to view them.

To ensure that your dashboard is optimized for mobile viewing, you can follow these steps:

  1. Open your dashboard in Power BI Desktop.
  2. Click on the "View" tab in the ribbon.
  3. Click on "Phone Layout" to switch to the phone layout view.
  4. Adjust the visuals and layout of the dashboard to fit the smaller screen size.
  5. Save and publish the dashboard to the Power BI service.
  6. Share the dashboard with the users who need access to it.
  7. The users can access the dashboard through the Power BI mobile app or through a web link, and it will automatically adjust to fit their screen size.

It's important to note that some features may not be available in the mobile layout, depending on the complexity of the visuals and the amount of data being displayed. However, you can use the "Phone Emulator" in Power BI Desktop to test how your dashboard will look on a mobile device before publishing it.

In summary, Power BI supports mobile viewing through both the Power BI mobile app and web links, and it's possible to optimize your dashboard for mobile viewing using the phone layout view in Power BI Desktop.
