We have a workspace at app.powerbi.com and use Power BI Desktop to publish reports there.
Today, I deleted one report by going to the workspace, then selecting Delete.
Now, I try publishing a report with the same name, and even though, the workspace doesn't show the report, I still get the Replacing report dialog that looks like this:
selecting Replace leads to this error message:
Other reports in the workspace can be published just fine.
It appears that for just this report the Workspace is corrupted.
Is there a way to completely delete the report from the workspace?
Thanks!
Hi,
It seems that this error pops up with the introduction of folders in the workspace. It looks like a bug.
When you move a report to a folder inside your workspace (new functionality), publishing the report from PowerBI Report Builder raises the error.
When you move the original report outside the folder in the main directory from the workspace, everything works fine.
I think that the system cannot find the report because it is in a folder.
This should be fixed.
Allard.
Thank you for your message, but I don't think those hints on "how to get your questions answered" are relevant in this case.
We have 10 reports that feed off one dataset in this workspace. 9 reports can be published. 1 report was deleted and now it errors out with DuplicatePackageNotFound during publish from Desktop.
I was hoping there is a way to check the integrity of the workspace -- a like of a DBCC check in SQL or CHKDSK in Windows, or some kind of diagnostic to check the health of the workspace. Is there anything like that in Power BI service?
Thanks
@etsygankov Double check to make sure that both the report and the dataset are gone from the workspace. Perhaps you removed the report but not the dataset?
Otherwise, Sorry, having trouble following, can you post sample data as text and expected output?

The most important parts are:
1. Sample data as text, use the table tool in the editing bar
2. Expected output from sample data
3. Explanation in words of how to get from 1. to 2.
