Hi everyone,
Who can advice us please on the following issue:
We have been working on Power Bi trgial version for about 2 months with plan to migrate later to Pro licensed version without any lost of done reports and datasets. We were working on our domain xxx@asia.kg (for example bakirov.u@asia.kg).
Local supplier from whom we ordered license, provided to us in other technical domain asiakg.onmicrosoft.com.
As result, when we start to register our current accounts into the license in admin portal, then portal requires to delete first the existing domain Asia.kg and add it again in portal. So, we must now to loose all our job done for 2 months.
As i know, the policy and principles of trial version is that we should not loose any work done while trial period, isnt it?
Can you please advice what we can do to save existing job and not to recreate everything we have done before.
Thanks in advance.
regards,
Ulantbek.

Hey @Ulantbek ,
You are correct that the normal process is that you have a trial license and then you "upgrade" to the PRO license. Normally, this is with the same userid.
It sounds like you are using three different userids - the one you are using for free trial, the one that you have licenses for "asiakg.onmicrosoft.com." and the one you eventually want.
The first thing to note is the userid that has the license is the userid you have to use. You may need to work with your licensing agent to resolve that part.
As for moving from Trial to Pro licenses with different userids I have an idea. I am not absolutely positive this would work but I think it will. WIth the existing userid for the trial, share the report with the new userid that does have the license. Then, sign in with the licensed userid and download the file/take ownership. That should allow you to use the new userid without having to rebuild anything.

Thank you Collinq, i accept your answer as one option of solution. But would be great if Microsoft could just move the license to my Userid from the one, we purchased.
Anyway, thank you firend.
If any other ideas, please wellcome.
