Cannot get Power BI User Email in Power Automate

Hi,

I have a problem getting Power BI user email.

I tested my Power Automate Flow with my email as a sender, and everything works fine, but when I try to set the user who triggers the flow as a sender my flow fails.

The flow fails because they can't find the user's email.

The Power BI User Email looks like this "XXXXXWt1bEBhY2N1cmF0ZS10aS5jb20="; it's not an email address.

How can I fix this problem?

Thank you for all your help in advance

Hi, It's not from my data.

It's a dynamic field provided in Power BI Automation. how can I fix that?

      Hi Jsomkul

I would suggest going and looking at how to fix the Power BI Automation step you are talking about.

  • Hi Jsomkul

I would make sure as you said that the email address is in the right format so that it can be successfully sent.

Hi GibertQ, Thank you for your suggestions.

I looked everywhere, and I watched many youtube videos and read the documentation. none of them have any solution related to this. They can use this "User Email" dynamic field just fine, but I cannot get the email address.

I suspect that it might be some settings or permissions that I need to change, but i don't know what is it.

I was able to use copilot to figure it out. You need to use a decode function with the user email. Mine requried me to use
    decodebase64

  • Hi Jsomkul ,

If it is only one user then you share your power automate flow with him and you ask him to update from to his email box.

I hope it will be helpful.

    Thanks,
