Cannot disable Explore preview option in reports
- 1 year ago
Hi pjuvalainen ,
Try to Republish the semantic model after disabling Explore in the tenant settings. Explore may still show up for users with Read access if the dataset was published before the tenant setting was disabled.

Hi Learner_01_1,
Because your Power BI environment is managed by your organization and you don’t have access to tenant settings, you can’t disable the Explore feature yourself. This option is controlled by your Power BI Admin, so you’ll need to ask them to turn off the “Explore from semantic model (preview)” in the tenant settings. After that, make sure to republish the semantic model, since changes to tenant settings won’t affect datasets published previously. Also, check that users only have read or app access and not build permissions, as this can impact their ability to interact with the data.
Thank you.
