I'm trying to publish to my website, But I'm unable to get a link that works. I'v enabled Publish to web.
I followed the message highlighted in yellow. When I get to the Advanced networking section and expand Block public internet access, the slider is greyed out.
The only way to make it active is to enable Azure Private Link.
Now, I can adjust Block public internet access.
When I apply the setting I get this.
I accept, and get this.
I need to be able to share to the web. How do I fix this. I'm the admin. This is my account and I'm the only person using it. The data in the report is fake data for a fictional company. To be more specific it is the Adventure works project from Maven. I've seen it shared in many places. What is going on here!? I understand it is initially setup like this for security reasons, but it shouldn't be this hard to adjust the setting as an admin! Please advise.

Hi @Joe_mcsweeney ,
If you want to use the 'publish to web' feature, please set the 'disable Block public internet access' feature to "disabled".
In other words, you don’t need to change the 'disable Block public internet access' setting. Please make sure that the toggle is set to off.
Additionally, there are some prerequisites and limitations when publishing reports to the public web. Please check if your report meets the above conditions.

Hope it helps.

1st. "Block Public Internet Access" is grayed out
2nd. I enabled the feature above "Azure Private Link" and "Block Public Internet Access" is not grayed out anymore
3rd. I click on the "Disable" button under the "Block Public Internet Access" button. Almost happy that I will be able to accomplish what I need, so I can publish a report to the web publicly. Click on "Apply"
4th. Still almost happy thinking live is easy. I get the message
"Turn on Block Public Internet Access?
Private endpoints powered by Azure Private Link are not supported for some items in Microsoft Fabric, including Microsoft Fabric trial capacities. With the Block Public Internet Access setting on, users won't be able to use trial capacities, and unsupported items will not be visible or will return errors. For information about which Fabric items comply with Azure Private Link requirements,".
I accept.
5th. Frustration. I get the following message:
"Setting can't be applied
Changing this setting is not allowed from the public internet. You should perform this action by accessing Power BI privately from a virtual network. Please refresh the page as this change will not be saved."
6th What to do?
(Please do not explain me that it is for my security, as if all the business needs are the same. Sometimes, someone needs to publish a report to the web for the user just using a url without having to create an account or having to sign in)
