Cannot add user to Power BI workspace
I have two microsoft accounts within my company. Everything was built and published under account 1 but now we have shifted into account 2 and corporate is looking at completely dissolving account 1. i was hoping to make account 2 an admin under the power bi workspaces so that i could just transition smoothly but when i try to add my account 2, i get this error:
I have a pro license on both accounts but i suppose account 2 is considered an "external user" any idea to work around this or will i just have to reupload every report under account two and basically recreate the entire environment under account 1, into account 2?
Hi quinnjohnson
By account 1 and account 2 I beleive you mean Tenant 1 and Tenant 2. If so then Yes, to migrate reports from Tenant 1 to Tenant 2 you will need to Download and Re Upload reports and pbix one by one.

Hi quinnjohnson ,
The reason for your error may be because your two accounts are under different tenants.
If you want account 2 to take over the workspace of account 1, then even if you successfully add account 2, the workspace will disappear when tenant 1 is dissolved.
If you want to migrate the workspace content from account 1 to account 2, you need to manually save the workspace content from account 1 locally and re-upload it to account 2's workspace.
If your Current Period does not refer to this, please clarify in a follow-up reply.
