Cannot access embedded dashboard

Hello

I have a premium Power BI account and I have a dashboard embedded in my website. The dashboard works correctly and users can see the information normally, however, the problem will occur when the information source is updated and the dashboard "crashes", leaving the screen blank. And when you select "Sign in" nothing happens. Sometimes this happens without the dashboard being updated and there are simply people who cannot access it.

Hi, @faceituno

I'm happy to answer your questions. I noticed that there is a problem with the dashboard embedded on the website when you refresh the data source or the dashboard on Power BI Service crashes. Here are some suggested resolution steps:

  1. Verify your data source connection. You need to ensure that the data source connection is valid. If the data source is unavailable or disconnected, the dashboard may become blank.
  2. Refresh the credentials. According to your description, a login button appears in the dashboard embedded on the website, so please make sure your credentials are up to date and you have permission to access the data source.
  3. After you refresh the data source, check whether the dashboard on Power BI Service is updated successfully. If the dashboard is successfully updated but the dashboard you embedded in the website is not updated successfully or an error is reported, it means there is a problem with your embedding configuration. You can try embedding the dashboard into the website again.
  4. Browser problem or cache problem. Try opening your website in another browser to see if you can access your dashboard. You can try to clear the browser cache. Sometimes you cannot access your dashboard due to expired credentials in the browser cache.
  5. When you click to log in and nothing happens, please check whether the setting of blocking pop-up windows is enabled in your browser. You can press F12 to open the browser's developer job and see if a request is made to the server when you click the login button.

If the above steps help you, thats great.
