Can we use a Service principal to create premium workspaces?

Hi,

I was able to create pro/standard workspaces using a service principal, but I couldn't upgrade them to premium using SPN as I don't see any documentation on adding SPN as capacity administrator.

Is there a workaround for automating premium workspace creation?

Hi @VipinReddy ,

By my serch, could you create a premium workspace first, and then add access to the service principal?

This blog may be helpful to you:

My question is creating a workspace using SPN via Power BI REST APIs and upgrading it to premium.

It's possible only if we can add SPN as capacity admin. In the admin portal, it doesn't take SPNs or security groups as capacity admins.
