Can we use Datamart as a Data Warehouse ?
Hi Priya_Kulkarni - This can happen if the Datamart hasn't been successfully created or provisioned. Power BI might face issues while establishing the necessary infrastructure (like the Azure SQL Database behind the Datamart).
-
Service or Capacity Limits: If you're using a Power BI Premium Capacity, it could be running low on resources or has hit some limitations.
-
Temporary Service Outage: Power BI or related Azure services might have been experiencing temporary downtime or an outage when you tried to create the Datamart.
-
Schema Update Conflicts: There could be conflicts with the schema update, either due to issues with the data source or compatibility problems within the Datamart.
-
Sometimes these issues resolve themselves after a while, especially if it's related to temporary server-side issues.
-
Check Your Power BI Capacity: If you are using Power BI Premium or Premium Per User (PPU), check your capacity to ensure it has sufficient resources and isn't overloaded.
-
Check Permissions: Make sure that your account has the necessary permissions to create and manage Datamarts. This includes both Power BI permissions and access to the underlying Azure SQL resources.
Hope this information helps.
