Can't sign in

When I try sign in (on both the Desktop and the app) it says my user ID or password is not recognised. When I try change my password it says my user-name doesn't exist but when I try sign up again it says my email is already in use. I was able to sign in fine up until recently. Any advice would be appreciated!

Hi @GraceC

If you have signed up for Power BI then in the background it created an Azure Active Directory as well as an Office 365 Admin Centre.

You could try this link in order to see if you have access to the Office 365 Admin

https://portal.office.com/adminportal/home

If you do not I would suggest asking your IT department where you work.

Hi @GraceC

I would suggest that you talk to your Office 365 Admin as they are responsible for your Office 365 account, as well as your licensing to Power BI.

I would have a suspicion that for some reason your Power BI License (Free or Pro) has been removed.

Thank you for your response! I don't have Office 365... could that be the issue? Although I didn't have it when it used to work for me

Hi GraceC

Have you been able to fix your issue?

I have the same problem but my IT department said that I need to contact Micorsoft.

Thanks

Hi. As suggested by guavaq, above, it was an issue in the Office356 Admin centre - my IT department solved it for me. Hope that helps! Cheers.

@GilbertQ

Can you please help me.. I am also facing problems with signing up ... i keep getting that

You’re using h....._m.....@dai.com with another Microsoft service already. To finish signing up for Microsoft Power BI, sign in with your existing password.

This is my work email. and when i enter my password, it keeps saying that it is wrong despite i am confident it is right

Can you please advise!

I would suggest contacting your Office 365 Admin
