Can't see a shared Report or App

Hello,

 

I shared a report with a person outside of my organization and sent a link via e-mail. He can acess the report via link, but it's not listed in "Shared with me" tab. 

 

I also published and App and it's also only acessible via link. Trying to add an app on his account, the app I shared it's not listed.

 

The same problem happens on mobile app.

    HI Anonymous ,

    In fact, these are the limit of external share features.
    When you share to users who out of your organization, they can only use share email link to access and these contents not display in 'share with me' panel.

    You can take a look at azure B2B feature to add external users to your organization. After these steps, shared contents will displayed in 'shared with me' menu.

      When checking Azure Active Directory I found the users I shared the report link with, marked as Guests. However, the shared reports are not displayed in their 'shared with me' menu yet.

        Hi Anonymous ,

        After I double check on Azure b2b document and test, it seems like this feature also use email link to share.

        I can't found out methods to share contents to external user at 'share with me' panel, perhaps you can submit an idea for this requirement.

       I have experience with this issue.

       

      The external person being granted access will not see the content in their normal Power BI Portal. They will not see it in "shared with me"

       

      Instead they can only access it via the original link in the invite email.  That link is the only way for them to get to the information.

       

      For them to view at later dates, they'll have to use the Browser bookmark/favorite feature to save the link , or always use the email invitation link.
