Hi,
suddenly I can't open the edit tables dialog box to add or remove tables to an online model.
worked yesterday, now the dialogbox is not displayed at all. so I can't add or remove any tables in my model anymore!
I tried with 2 computers and 2 browsers, same result.
more details:
this impacts 1 semantic model connected to a data warehouse
I tried another existing model connected to the same warehouse and this second model return an empty list of tables:
(I'm supposed to see about 100 tables)
I can edit the tables from models connected to a lakehouse.
so the problem appear to be related to warehouses only with 2 different behaviors (no dialog box or empty one).
any idea?
edit:
when I click "refresh" on the empty dialog box, I receive this message:
The datamart data is invalid

Hi,yes apparently the fix has been deployed (at least for me)
Same here, I noticed the fix appeared a few days ago. Much better!

yep
MS just confirmed to me that the solution will be deployed the 07/09/2024 to all the regions.
so apparently they found the problem and the solution.
and there is no workaround for now.
We are experiencing the same thing on our team. It is not the default model and we've tried multiple accounts, browsers and computers.
I'm seeing the same behavior.
My team is experiencing the same issue noted in this thread. Additionally, source control is failing to load the Warehouse with the following error. Restoring the warehouse to even prior to the last successful commit didn't help.
Workload Error Message An object with name '{{Relationship_Name}}' already exists in the collection.
The other behavior I'm seeing with this feature is this:
- Open the data model
- Click "Edit tables"
- The dialog appears on the screen for a brief moment and then immediately disappears before I can interact with it.
excatly my problem too.
I was on a call with microsoft, they saw all these problems replicated and I mentioned that I'm not alone with this problem.
Is it by chance the default semantic model for the Warehouse? As far as i know, those can only be edited from inside the Warehouse Model tab.
If it is not the default model, then of course disregard this suggestion.

Same situation for me. This is a non-default model I created in the same workspace as the data warehouse it is connected to.
Hi,
it's another model, not the default one.
I was able to reproduce the problem by creating a new model, after the initial creation, I can't edit the tables anymore.
I opened a ticket with Microsoft.
