Hello,
I have created a Power BI report (let's call it R2) that utilizes data from a Power BI semantic model published on a premium capacity workspace. However, the first time users click on the link for R2, all the visuals say "Couldn't load the data for this visual".
This is fixed if they first click on the link of the report that contained (or created) the semantic model that R2 is calling. Once they clicked on the semantic model link then refresh the R2 link, they are able to see the visuals with the data.
Wondering if anyone has encounted this issue and know of a fix so that my users can get to R2 directly? Is it a permission or setting issue for the semantic model? The semantic model is set for "Read, Reshare, Build".
Thanks,
Elizabeth
@EL4BI Is this report also in a Premium workspace?
Yes. Both the semantic model and the reports are on the same workspace. It seems like new users have to "trigger" their account to see the semantic model before data is cascaded to R2.
