Can't create app workspace

I'm unable to create an App Workspace. I've tried multiple times, but I always get the same result:     I've confirmed that I'm a Power BI Pro User, so that doesn't appear to be the issue: ...

    Hi jetboy2k

     

    If you can confirm from your Office 365 administrator that your account is allowed to create Groups in Exchange Online.

     

    When you create an App Workspace, in the background it also creates an Exchange Online Group, and if you do not have access to create the groups, it will fail when trying to create an App Workspace.

Yes, that does appear to be the problem. When I tried to create a group in Outlook 365 using the account that couldn't create a workspace, I got the following message:

 

 

When I then logged into my other account, I was able to create a workspace without issue.

 

So now I just need to find out how to contact the administrator of my other account and ask if I can get group creation enabled.

Hi,

 

We have this excact same problem with the same error, but we have enabled user group creation so it has to be something else? What could it be?

 

What kind of permissions the user needs to create the app workspace? Currently it is Global Admin so should have enough rights...
