Hello,
A few days ago I am having problems to publish my reports generated in power bi. I get the warning: “You can't create an embed code because the report is not eligible for use with Publish to web” and the link is not generated.
I have found the list of considerations and limitations for publishing to the web, but I don't seem to violate any of the limitations.
To test and show the problem, I created a google sheets sheet with random data and loaded that sheet into a datamart to create a report, all within a new workspace.

The process I have followed is as shown in the images and the publishing permissions are active from the admin account, so what could be the cause of the problem?
I would appreciate any ideas.
Hi @EvaluacionProg ,
Please try to click on the setting of the semantic model to check the connection mode.
Best Regards,

Hi @Anonymous
Thank you very much for your reply.
I have checked the configuration you have indicated and I found that the options are blocked.
I have done this in two cases. One reviewing the configuration of a semantic model generated automatically when creating a Power Bi report. This way I can see these options:
The second case is reviewing the configuration of a datamart and its associated semantic model. This is what I see this way:
As you can see, the “Refresh” and “Schedulesd refresh and performance optimization” options appear locked. What can this mean?
Is it possible that your semantic model is not importing the data but using a Live Query Connection and this is the reason why it is not working?
Could you guide me on how to verify this please?
Hello @GilbertQ ,
Thank you for your reply.
That is the strangest thing, I have spoken to my administrator before and he has indicated that web publishing is enabled. He has even sent me a screenshot where you can see the options enabled.
It appears to me that this is due to the fact that the published web setting has been disabled in your power bi tenant. I would suggest chatting to your power BI administrator with regards to the setting.
