I'm using Power BI Pro and created a Power BI report which consumes a web API and a spreadsheet in my workplace's OneDrive. But when I published it on my workplace's Power BI Service workspace, it doesn't allow me to refresh the data, saying the dataset needs credentials. When I go to the dataset's settings, the section "Data Source Credentials" is disabled and I can't configure it. I tried serching for similar issues, but solution solved my problem.
One article said to change my gateways settings, but whenever I try to edit them I just get a console error.
I also tried publishing in my own workspace but the same issues are present. I need to be able to configure an scheduled refresh of the dataset, but I am unable to do so and I'm out of ideas and solutions. Any help is welcomed.
Hi @KookHo
Could you try and instal the gateway in standard mode and see if you can then create a data source connection?
I looked a little into it, but I was told by a coworker that the personal mode would be disabled if my computer was turned off. I suppose the other mode would allow me to run it on a server (?), though I need to check for permissions to use the server. Is that how it is or is there a misconception somewhere?
