Power BI Service is down in China
No access from France, Power services base on North Europe
Yes, it works again. But I'd like to draw your attention to the fact that none of us seemed to have been informed of the (huge) issues for more than 12 hours. It is unnacceptable for a non-free service upon which so many professionals depend.
Add to this that they never admitted to it being a 12 hour outage, their support page was down and no root cause analysis provided. Fairly shocked and concerned by this and would love to have someone from Microsoft to respond here or contact me to discuss further...
Agreed. It was a huge outage. If I had to pay for PBI service from my own pocket, I would be outraged.
As for the reason, I'd guess either a deployment into production that did not go well (we received news about updates yesterday) or maybe even some kind of hacking (and they would not want to communicate about that I guess).

Service seems restored in the UK and other regions from replies below. Still getting bad gateway 502 on service support/status page : https://support.fabric.microsoft.com/support 🤔

Access to PowerBi service appears to have returned (UK)

Same problem in Italy.
I also try with opera vpn to connect to America and then to Asia, but same problem
this would not matter - all you traffic for Power BI is directed via the Home Tenant in the impacted Region.
