Can't access ADLS via vnet

Hey guys,

I have an issue that is doing my head in.

I'm trying to connect to ADLS gen2 via PowerBI service.

ADLS is sitting behind a vnet I've configured as per below. I can confirm I can access said vnet via my workspace (as per below).

But when i tried to connect to it keep giving me "Unable to update connection credentials". I've tried SAS token, Account Key, Oauth2. Everything is working in PowerBI desktop with the same cred, so it's definetly not a cred issue.

It seems to be networking issue, but i've spent way to long to try to google this out and hence the post. If anyone can help that would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @bali1285 ,

This should be a network issue.

Double-check that your Power BI service and the ADLS Gen2 are properly integrated with the VNet. This includes verifying that all necessary DNS and networking configurations are correctly set up. The documentation on Using Azure Private Links for secure access might provide additional insights.

Review the firewall rules and NSG settings for your ADLS Gen2 account and the VNet. Ensure that there are no rules inadvertently blocking access from the Power BI service. You might need to allow specific outbound connections from Power BI to your ADLS Gen2 storage account.

Hope it helps!
