Can't Replace Report in PowerBI Service

I am trying to upload the pbix (not including the dataset) of a new version of a report to a workspace. The pbix has the same filename as the report in the workspace. If I try to publish the pbix from desktop I get this pop up:

If I try to upload the pbix to the workspace, I get this pop up, but after I click "Replace It" nothing happens:

Frustrating that there are so many report editing features only available in desktop, but I can't upate the version on my workspace from desktop.

Hi, @TrainBI

Based on your description, try to reproduce your current issue:

Are you experiencing current issues in other versions of Power BI Desktop? Or are you experiencing a similar problem in your other computers?

I only have one computer to try this on. I can successfully publish when I am replacing the semantic model, but in this case I am only trying to publish a report. The report is linked to a model that is saved under a different name in the workspace.

Hi, @TrainBI

Thank you very much for your reply. If you just publish a report instead of publishing a report + a semantic model. You'll need to link to your workspace's semantic models in Power BI Desktop, and then use those semantic models to build your reports:

When you click Publish to Service, a semantic model is automatically generated in relation to the current report.
