I have configured the Data Gateway in the Power BI Service, this Data Gateway is getting data from external SQL Server Database, so I would like to create a model in Power BI Service by using these already existent data from database there on Service. Is it possible, if it's not why should I use the Data Gateway once I have to all time use the Desktop to publish any model to Service.
In addition., my computer doesn't have support to import data from database in Power BI Desktop, my hardware is not so good, and that database is too large. Using the DirectQuery option I do not get the relationships from database that is so important to generate reports once these relationships between tables are in a large amount of number then I could not to set them manually.
You can try to use datamart to connect to the dataset from Power BI Service. You can refer to the following link.
