Can't Create Reports
I cannot create Power BI reports in a Power BI workspace. Please tell me what could be the possible causes.
The situation is as follows:
- I have the Workspace Admin role.
- I have a Power BI Pro license.
- The workspace is assigned to a Fabric capacity (F8 SKU).
- I can create Lakehouses and Warehouses without any issues.
- The “New Item” menu shows the buttons for creating Reports and Semantic Models as grayed out.
- When you hover the cursor over the buttons for creating reports or semantic models, the following message appears.
`This Item can't be created in this workspace due to security settings applied by the workspace admin.Try creating the item ina differenct workspace or contact the workspace dmin for assistance.` - I can create those items in a different workspace. (It's not assigned to a Fabric capacity)

never saw this issue before. My recommendation is to contact the MSFT support via the support center from your tenant.

I'm not aware of any workspace level settings to prevent the creation of Power BI items.
There are tenant level settings to prevent the creation of Fabric items, but not Power BI items.
Has this always been the case for this workspace for you, or is this a new issue?
I think a ticket to Microsoft might be needed, but I'd like to understand what is causing this issue.
